How to Auto Fold BMW Mirrors | BMW How-To

Learn how to fold your mirrors automatically when locking your BMW luxury vehicle with our auto folding mirror feature.

To start, from the BMW IDrive console, click the My Vehicle menu. Then, after clicking into the vehicle settings tab, located on the Doors/Key sub-menu, and scroll until you reach the ""fold mirrors when locked"" option. Once selected, the auto folding mirror technology will begin working the next time you lock your BMW luxury vehicle.

Protecting your car side mirror and passenger side mirror with this feature is helpful if you find yourself in tight parking spots, or if you're concerned about damaging their mirrors. The BMW Auto Fold Mirror feature is here to ease your concerns.

My 2008 Series 1 does the Automatic mirrors out and in I find it makes a click noise tho which I don’t like.
