80/20: Philosophies and Principles
Показать описание
Few companies of 80/20's size are as rooted in the philosophies of their founder as we are. After 30 years of working for others, Don Wood started 80/20 based on the philosophies he had learned to be tried and true. By taking the best from the best and multiplying them through teaching others, he created a company based on principle and attitude. The company name is based on the 80/20 principle developed by Italian economist and sociologist, Vilfredo Paredo, who lived in the early 1900s. His theory states that 80% of your results in business come from 20% of your efforts. In essence, being more productive with your time by concentrating on critical tasks, working smarter and being more efficient, rather than working harder. The result? A more accurate and cost-effective product for our customers. This mentality spreads to every aspect of how we do business and how we help our customers be more efficient themselves with 80/20 solutions. While 80/20 may be the company's name, our philosophy is "Attitude is Everything." That is the credo of 80/20 founder Don Wood. His core belief, that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% of how we react to it, reverberates to the very core of his business. The company is also grounded in a mantra, which is based on an old Chinese proverb; "There is a man in this world who is never turned down, he is the man who delivers the goods." What this means is, in order for us to be successful in all our endeavors, we have to walk the walk if we are going to talk the talk. Claiming to be THE STANDARD in the T-slotted framing industry means we must, not only set the bar, but continue to raise it, one customer at a time. With these philosophies in place since 80/20's inception, our goal has been to put the customer first and listen to your needs. We've kept a focused eye on innovation and efficiency to keep costs down and made exceptional customer service every team members' priority. The result has been exponential growth in both product offering and as a company.
