Joe Sample and his song "The Road Less Traveled " is where I discovered my favorite musician....Marcus Miller! I love the melody by Joe and the thumpin and plucking by Marcus...! Simply brilliant musician by two greats...!!

I always thought Joe Sample was one of the most talented jazz pianist on the planet. I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert, once withe Crusaders, and later after his solo career was established. What a joy he was. Thank God for the music. Miss you Joe❤😢

Wayne Henderson had passed away earlier in the year ( April ) and then Wilton Felder passed away almost exactly a year after Joe. We miss 'em. Thankfully, we have the music
