HOW TO RE-INSTALL PS5 SYSTEM SOFTWARE USING USB FLASH DRIVE TO FIX PS5 FREEZE (USELESS DOESN'T WORK)

This was my 3rd attempt in trying to fix my broken PS5 which doesn't run any PS5 games. According to Sony's website, you have to download a 1GB file and save it onto a USB Flash drive. The Flash drive then needs to be inserted into your PS5's USB port so that it can install a system software. In order to install the system software via USB flash drive, you have to boot up your PS5 in safe mode. Then hope & pray that your console will work properly.

This happen to my Ps5. Because I unplugged it in rest mode. I tired all the safe mode steps, nothing worked. I left it alone for a day came back and plugged in it and it worked just fine. All I had to do was log into Psn. Idk what happened but I’m thankful!!!

my PS safe mode menu doesn't allow me to click option 7 at all, option 7 is there, its just not highlighted like the other modes and I cannot click it at all. If something wrong with your PS5 ship it to sony and request a replacement, do not accept a refurbished one, and do not accept a repair. Accept a new console only.

So yeah IT WILL NOT work, you just have to hold down the power button for 10secs, then instead of reinstalling, you just have reset the system. That's what I did and it worked

its a software issue that sony engineers know about, i talked to a worker there and they said an update is coming, turn your rest mode settings off thats whats causing the issue, i had to reset my ps5 2 times from turning off randomly

i did everything and by the end of the last progress bar it says its unable to reset my ps5

I’m gonna send mine back to Sony, it started shutting off on me a few weeks ago, trying this now but if it doesn’t work, guess I’m going consoleless for a few days 😂

Every time I turn on my ps5 it put me to safe mode and I can only use option 7

Bro you should call sony. They just sent me a new replacement for my ps5 and im sending my broken one to them in a a couple days

My PS5 crashed while playing Spider Man Miles morales, and now my console is stuck at securitty mode evertytime I turn it on. And the only option I am able to choose is option 7 - Reinstall system software.
After following the instructions at sony website to reinstall system software, i got the message "Impossible to redefine console". I am still at the security mode loop
