FFMPEG comes with Linux as a terminal based application and video converter. But there is an easy way to convert sound and video files to other formats. I show you how with MystiQ. You can also use QWinFF.

She's like the Bob Ross of computer tutorials. Even the mouse clicks are so satisfying 😌

When I was 13, there was a grandma who was our nextdoor neighbor and she taught me a bit about programming and because of her I'm now a developer. Unfortunately, she passed away shortly after RIP grandma. God bless her she was lovely 😭

The right click open, the 2 character password, the open chime, the red cursor, the clicky mouse. Amazing

The first thing she does after opening a terminal is running the neofetch command.
She is the chosen one.

This has a proper old-school YouTube vibe to it, I miss when all tutorials were like this

This reminds me of old school youtube where the video just gave you the info. No ads, no weird intro, no music blasting no merch pushing, just good old fashion information.

I thought this was a meme at first, but was pleasantly surprised when it was just an FFMPEG tutorial.

This is one of those rare wholesome, unabashedly authentic slices of the internet that are just hard to find nowadays.

I do customer service in my day job. I do a lot of handholding for older folks who don't know how to use really basic computer things. It's actually very humbling, but every now and then I talk to someone who is 80 or 90 and has a very good grasp on tech. A former colleague of mine, who was elderly, but an ethical hacker, taught me it wasn't age or the fact that folks didn't grow up at the right time to learn; it's that many older folks weren't as open to the changing landscape. I am always happy to see older folks who enjoy noodling around with tech. It gives me hope, as someone who has always aspired to grow old and not be closed off to new experiences. I may stick around to see more. Cheers 🥂

Just because someone is elderly, does not mean they are disconnected from reality. This lady, for example, can easily see the clear superiority of Debian over Ubuntu. If that's not bright, then I don't know what is.

I loved every second of this video <3
