I didn't realize solar flares traveled fast enough to cause visible auroras so soon after erupting.

Maybe I'm crazy, or maybe it's coincidence, but every so often the wifi connections in my home network goes down. I check using Airport utility to confirm that it's not the outside modem connection to the internet that's down, but actually the connections to the wifi routers.

This loss of connection usually lasts only a few minutes or maybe an hour or so.

When this happens, because it is so rare, I try to figure out what caused it and I check sunspot activity. It's always been the case that I have found, in fact, there has been a big discharge recently.

Am I nuts, or are solar flares interfering with the wifi signals?
