Probably should have mentioned knowing the basics of the Linux command line, version control via Git, object-oriented programming, code documentation, and TDD or BDD.

I think what Java developers need to know as minimum is:
(1) Know Object Oriented Programming well/enough
(2) Know how to solve problems in loop, condition and pass code test in interview
(3) Know some design patterns and way to implement roughly with Java
(4) Know at least one framework such as J2EE with Spring/Security and having basic understanding is ok.

Hi Fredrik! I've been practicing programming for about 2 years( 10-12 hours per day). All this time I was learning Full-Stack JavaScript and Python with HTML and CSS of course. At this point I still think I have to learn and practice a lot. Recently I got interested in machine learning and began to study if 2 - 3 hours per day, because I think it has a bright future also. How do you think is it a good idea to learn it? And 1 more question! Is 1 month enough to prepare for interviews if you have 1-2 year of experience? I haven't worked on my algorithms and data structure skills yet... Thank's!

Love this! Do you have one for Junior front-end mainly in React Fredrick? I’m about to graduate in my B CS and am aiming for a front-end job preferably React.

There’s hardly any junior React jobs however theres a lot of mid-senior level React positions in my area. I just want to know what’s expected from a junior to see if I would be suited for a mid level role.

I’m able to look at a web app and reverse engineering it given a bit of time. From the page layout and responsive design, transitions and animations between pages and components, manipulating fetched data for components, routing, authentication with tokens, etc.

Currently I’m trying to improve by looking into how to make my components more reusable with React design patterns. Found out about render props which is pretty cool.

Thanks for reading if you made it up to here. Your channel rocks and gives me a high level insight in the business. Especially when people like me don’t know any programmers to talk and share ideas with haha. Can’t wait to get my foot in the door!
