What is an Inner-Conflict?

Many times when we are in a triggered state, we unconsciously focus on the cacophony of commentators in our head instead of listening to the guidance our soul is trying to share with us. Some of the common commentators include our critical inner voice, the prosecuting attorney, the rebel, the people pleaser, the rager, the withdrawer, the bully, etc. These inner protective personalities were formed during a younger time when we experienced neurological wounding.
Have you heard of the term, “inner conflict?” What does this denote? It occurs when we become confused because we have various voices in our head arguing about this, that or the other. These judgmental aspects of self, overwhelm our inner voice, the voice of our mindful empowered self, the whispers of wisdom, our intuitive intuition residing in our soul.
Our inner protective personalities awaken when we get triggered by a perception of a current experience. They have no idea we are the current age we are now and think we are the same age when we formed them. Usually, we create an adversarial relationship with them, hence inner conflict. We need to learn the tools and techniques to associate and activate the Mindful Empowered Leader of our inner world to become allies instead of adversaries. This will help us lower the activation of our body, quiet our mind and achieve the ultimate goal of a peaceful soul.
