878 578 apples and oranges. Definitely use my in sleeper berth while over the road. The 878 won’t reach the repeaters where the 578 will using this device.

I got one and it seems to be ok in dmr mode and not very good audio on mine in FM. The audio is better with a cable however, the provided cable is garbage. Not sure if I got a bad one or not. I did all the updates with no additional improvements in audio quality. It a cool device for dmr if you couldn’t hit the repeater from your house. Let me know if your audio reports are better.
