Also dish you can take out the local channels and cut the plan price by $13 on dish, But good video on the comparison. Also in depth use the dish anywhere app to expand via android tv, Fire stick, apple tv boxes in home instead of getting dishes Joey's. Just have a hopper with sling or hopper 3.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had satellite tv since it’s inception (DirectTV). I prefer it to internet based streaming tv because with satellite tv, you can watch as close to live than you can with cable or stream tv especially when it comes to live sports like the NFL. The biggest issue between the two is cost. YouTube TV is probably the best of the live stream tv with a flat rate and no contract commitment whereas Dish/DirectTV you have to make a contractual commitment while paying for your DVR box(s) and broadcast fees that’s not included in your bill. I believe in the future that internet service providers will one day raise prices on consumers due to the mass consumption of these live streaming services or that ISPs will throttle service if there is too much traffic whereas satellite and cable tv, this does not happen.

Horrible experience with dish. Dad passed in Dec 23, mom fell in Jan and went into assisted 2024. I cancelled and returned the device in Feb 2024. They still billed for all Feb and beginning of March. So upset.

I can’t believe these comments of people liking Dish Network better than YouTube tv with Dish Network you’re paying way more money for less value on top of that if there’s a storm where there’s clouds in the way, you lose your connection if there’s a storm snow rain ice you lose it I know this because I just canceled and turned off someone’s account recently before I did, they were having trouble
