For anyone curious, you divide the number of atoms of CH4 by avogadro’s number or 6.022 x 10 to the 23 and then cancel out the atoms and put moles instead, that’s your answer. Btw it’s sixth grade chemistry.

I see alot of ppl explaining the molar one so ill explain the reason why PCl3 is polar. Note electronegativity difference of P and Cl is 0.97, greater than .5 but lesser than 1.7. Thus the P-Cl bond is polar. And note that the structure of PCl3 is trigonal pyramidal, thus the overall effect of the 3 chlorine pulls pull the electron downwards towards the base of the pyramid, making PCl3 polar.
