Thank you Davin! Your information was very useful, I'm having a hard time finding a Gardener for trimming the weeds in Valley Center Ca. As fire season is approaching everyone seems very busy. I'm a lady learning how to use power equipment, besides English is my second language and had no idea what to do when I saw the primer bulb damaged, I learned how to replace it really quick, the instructions were clear and in simple terms to understand thank you for all your videos.

I just replaced the bulb on my 27cc Craftsman leaf blower. It was running fine til I changed it out. The new bulb appears to be a tinge shallower than the original. Anyway, there’s a little diaphragm behind it and I didn’t pay much attention to which way it faced. It had dropped out when I took it apart. I tried putting it on both ways but it just doesn’t pull any fuel. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the video. I has replaced my Stihl Hedge trimmer primer bulb (that had ruptured when the trimmer was running) before I viewed your video. I put the trimmer up on a shelf for a few months before I changed the bulb, much in the same way as you demonstrated. However, there wasn’t any fuel present at the time. After the bulb was replaced, I could not get the engine to start.
There isn’t any fuel present in the bulb even though the fuel tank is full. Someone suggested that there may be an “air leak.”
What would you suggest that I do?

I watched this video before changing the trimmer bulb. The new bulb is small so what I did is I trimmed the old bulb and put the new small but into it that fits the new bulb now. No problem leaking at all. But when my husband will see it he will replace with proper bulb. 🙂

My question is, why won't my primer prim fuel? I get nothing when I push on the bulb?

Just a headsup....just changed the bulb on my ht 101 pole saw. Make sure your fuel tank is full, not 1/3 full like mine was...it wouldnt prime until i topped off the tank. Otherwise, a ez fiz

I need to replace one and can’t run it out of fuel because it won’t start. The primer bulb is cracked

Just by looking at what you're doing I can tell that the hardware store sold me the wrong part. They sold me just the bulb. Turns out I need the whole assembly. This is something I found out after I got the primer bulb out. Now to remember how to put everything back together... Probably not...
