Guinea Pig Foot Infection

If there is ANYTHING different AT ALL with your pet, PLEASE bring them to the Vet ASAP!

I brought Micos to the vet because his left front foot was swelling up. I had thought it was bumblefoot but the vet said it was just an infection. He was prescribed some Baytril and she recommended to keep him on fleece and not on paper bedding for now; and to dip his foot in an epsom salt/water solution for about 3 minutes.

It has been more than 10 days since our trip to the vet. I filmed this today just to update you guys on what Micos is currently taking. Micos doesn't seem pained by his foot, and I've also noticed a sore forming on his right foot as well. We'll be taking him to the vet for that.

How did this turn out? My wife's skinny pig also had bumblefoot and ended up with toes amputated on two front feet. I don't like felt-I think it traps too much moisture on their bare feet. I'm not sure of a good solution thought... It is miserable changing wraps on his feet have been fighting it for well over a month now and it's tiresome. Superb cleanliness (change bedding twice daily?)is essential with Guinea Pigs! Especially those that don't move around much. If they sit where they defecate and urinate, you will have problems if you don't change them up! Good luck!

hello for the vitamin  c drops in the water it wont work berceuse the vitamin c desecrates in the water and just Mack's the water taste  bad and makes your piggy not wont to drink it. this is just what my vat tolled me . he Sade to just give the chow boils  I hope this help's and I hope I am not offending you .

so my baby biggie clovers foot is looking weird, her skin is flaking and looks like she has blisters what does that mean. i just took her to the vet for a check up because i could tell she had an ear infection. she also had mites. what should i do?
