our math teacher gave us national math olympics level tests each time. Our math problems would make even teachers scratch their heads. He made sure we would completely sweep the floor with anyone at math.

They did teach statistics at my High school but, it was the highest form of Math they taught even tho most felt Calculus was more difficult..

They mix probability into math in high school but it isn't focused on enough. It's just briefly presented. If you are reading this comment, Statistics in taught at community college. Even if you don't want a degree you can go to college just to take some math and statistics courses at a really cheap price. Take them over and over until you pass the class. You will understand the value of this as your life steadily gets better over time or at the very least you will understand why things are happening the way they are.
