I think Neil has completely missed what neuralink actually does?

Elon says the initial primary use will be to restore functionality to people who are crippled, blind, etc. If that's what works, it will be a miraculous breakthrough.

As someone who's been legally blind since i was 10, I'd give anything up to see the sky 1 more time.

Neil in 1983:
"There's a payphone on every corner; Do I really need to carry around a radio transmitter? I can spare the 2 minutes it takes to walk to a payphone"

The real question is this,
If you wouldn't post your private information on the internet, why would you connect your brain???

The purpose of Neuralink isn't to make everything faster by using telepathy. It's supposed to give paralyzed people the ability to walk, and shit like that

It’s clear Neil doesn’t understand the true potential of neuralink

Is this really his understanding of Neuralink? He thinks it's a cell phone implant?

I think above all else it's just useful for paraplegic patients who can't use their limbs to use certain devices, with the availability of neural ink it would give them an even simpler and easier time to use the internet much like any of us normal people do.

Okay, so I love you Niel you're a smart guy. Which makes me wonder why you didn't actually research what neuolink is actually for. It was not initially designed to be something that connects you to a computer or smart phone. The primary function is to assist those with neurological problems to either greatly improve brain functionality by rerouting neurological pathways through parts of the brain that are unaffected. So essentially if someone has epilepsy or parkinson's they could live a much better and productive life. Now will connecting to smart phones, laptops, etc. Be a possible "side effect" of NeuroLink, maybe. But I think anyone who has seen ghost in the shell knows just how dangerous this concept is.

How is a quadriplegic supposed to “pull out his phone?”
