This song traveled with me on a 20-year quest for tropical fly fishing in saltwater that spanned the globe to the most remote places on the planet, including an Atoll in the South Pacific where 3 of the top 10 highest-yielding nuclear detonations occurred - including the sub-launched Polaris ballistics. Bluewater days and Tequila nights. What a blast it was. Adventure by day, and chill by night - in the most extreme ways. It all started one night on a hammock at the end of a dock where I caught a glimpse of Acux and Gacrux - the constellation of the Southern Cross. And it is very true to that which Stephen Stills wrote of it - "You understand now why you came this way".
