Zac Brown Band performs "Free/Into The Mystic" at Southern Ground HQ.

Lyrics:

So we live out in our old van
Travel all across this land
Me and you
We'll end up hand in hand
Somewhere down on the sand
Just me and you

Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
Just as free
Free as we'll ever be

Drive until the city lights
Dissolve into a country sky
Just me and you

Lay underneath the harvest moon
Do all the things that lovers do
Just me and you

Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
and ever be

We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
And the bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
You smell the sea and you feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic

When the fog horn blows I'll be coming home
Yeah, when the fog horn blows I want to feel it
Don't have to fear it
And I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And together we will flow into the mystic

No we don't have a lot of money
No we don't have a lot of money
No we don't have a lot of money
All we need is love

We're free as we'll ever be
Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
So we live in our old van
Travel all across this land
Me and you

Story of my life with my wife if 33 years. Into the mystic was our song. She just passed away. you made it even better Zac. Still cry like a baby when I listen to it. It does sum up our life. We traveled for my job for 23 years. Coast to coast. Good bye to my brown eyed girl. Wait up there for me

I absolutely love this!! As hard as it is, tears in my eyes!! Reminds me of my late wife! It's been 5 years now, sense she left this earth!! We were both 42, and in love since 2nd grade!! We were planning on traveling the country, dancing in the moonlight!! This song is all her!!

Saw Van Morrison in Hollywood back in the late 60s. Small club about 50 people. Just a beautiful memory I was about 22 years old. God what a great evening and date that was.

This song reminds me of my daughter that I lost 2 months ago. She was such a free spirit in life. She always help other people and love her dogs. I miss her so much I will always love her.

Played this song for my daddy when he was passing in the hospital. He loves this version. Many of time on the lake, cruising in the boat trying to wet a line. He was a simple man that changed so many lives. He is free now and I am reminded that one day I will be too. Love you daddy ❤️
