I get to 4:40 in and when you tell Alexa to sing for you. My Generation 3 goes off and sings the same exact song. Too funny!

My Girlfriend has the 3rd Generation Echo Dot (Puck Design) she got as a gift and didn’t really thick she’d use it but now we both find it great to use and so handy to find out information. I decided to get one but was hanging off for the release of the new 4th Generation (Sphere Design). Then me being a lover of Apple Products they threw me a curve ball with the Home Pod Mini Launch. But to be honest I prefer Alexa to Siri and I prefer the design with clock and colour options for the New Echo Dot. So my girlfriend is getting me the Echo Dot 4th Generation with Clock in Twilight Blue so I’m excited to start using it. Great video.

Automatic power saving mode is still missing! Speakers should not be sucking power 24/7 when no one is in the room or has gone to sleep. Sleep and Deep Sleep at a minimum. I can put the power adapter on a smart switch with a program so the speaker automatically boots at say 5 am then turns off after an hour or two but power control should be integrated.

I have gen 4 larger and gen 5 smaller. Using as a speaker is fine but cannot set up stereo unless the two units are the same. So only if both are dots, for example. I have older models like the original tube Alexa which has great sound, but is now boxed up. What can be done with this now?

I really like them, ended up buying a second echo 4th gen. Got more function then the dot and fuller sound.

But... HOW DO THEY SOUND??? C'mon man you spent the entire video talking about how it's design which is minor. This is a speaker at the end of the day. We wanna know how it sounds. Is it an improvement over the previous year? Does it get loud enough to use in the shower? At the louder volumes does it sound muddy?How does it compare to the full size? Which one is the better product for a given scenario?

Decent video but dwells on the frivolous information and skips the important parts.

Nice review. I am looking at one or the other also. Currently in the usa we can get a fire stick 4k and dot bundle for the same price as the echo.($69.99 usd) I want to upgrade my 2nd gen dot and older fire stick for hands free voice control. Unfortunately there is no bundle for the echo and fire stick 4k, so I would have to purchase them separately. Plus I didnt know alexa has a British accent. I would love to hear Samuel L. Jackson with a British accent.

I was thinking upgrading my echo 1 but clock is big deal but wondering with the echo show why buy a echo. Either 5, 7, or 10" show screen i have echo show 5 and 10 so maybe replace echo with echo show 7
