Показать описание
This video shares 5 simple questions you can ask to find out how your team member is doing.
It's important for managers to build awareness of how team members are doing in both their personal and professional lives. This awareness can help you identify what factors are contributing to their performance. With this, you can then better understand what you and your team member can do to improve.
I've learned there are 5 questions, managers can use at the start of every one-on-one, to quickly give an idea of how a team member is doing.
These questions are:
- Motivation - How motivating is your current work?
- Outcomes - How well do you feel you are contributing to business outcomes?
- Direction - How satisfied are you with the direction of your career?
- Energy - How are your energy levels?
- Learning - How much are you learning in the work you are doing?
A simple way to remember these is the acronym MODEL.
