I would leave it up to the company to tie it in. If your STAR response is in relation to their question it should be a given to tie it in.

Well over here in Uk we are taught to use STAR as a response to specific questions so it’s already “ tied in” and it would be somewhat patronising to point out how the answer answers the question!
