Did You Know That in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Geoffery calls Will as Master William throughout the series even though Will tells him not to. It's not until the final episode of the show before departing for London, that Geoffery says, "Goodbye Will".

This country is really missing out on these family shows from the 90s.. family matters, Martin, Home Improvement, Boy meets world, Full house, friends, Roseanne, Living single, A different world, married with children, the wonder years, everybody loves Raymond..

I know I missed a lot more that are very good…

Master is also a very traditional way for people to address children. Geoffrey could more symbolically be marking Wills growth and becoming a man.
