In today's using a table saw for beginners video, we are covering the 3 main types of cutting techniques that can be done using a table saw. Plus, I'll be talking about panel sleds, miter gauges, and push sticks for all you beginners. This is Part 2 of last weeks' beginner video on using a table saw for the first time. My husband recently passed away, leaving a full wood-working shop for me to deal with. I am selling most of his equipment but keeping the necessary ones for myself. Your videos showed me how to work a table saw safely. Thank you!

Thank you kindly for the PDF print out of the push stick. Going to cut it out first thing tomorrow morning.

I’m just learning about table saws and miter saws. Thank you for your help.

Excellent video except for one thing.... I don't think your hand should ever go past the blade even if your fingers are wrapped around the fence unless you're using a push stick or push block where your hands are further from the blade. I've learnt this the hard way and while the injury wasn't life changing it certainly was a wake up call. Use the guard where possible!

Well covered. I like the miter gauge with hold-down option. Would be great if you could show how to build one from wood!

Thank you. Thank You! THANK YOU!!! I learned SO much in ten minutes by watching both Part 1 and Part 2 of this. I recently experienced my first kickback two weeks ago and have been afraid to use my portable table saw since. Got a few cuts to make today and with the help of your videos I feel confident. I know this is like almost two years later but thanks again!

Videos are super helpful. I’m currently trying to get into the plexi shop at my job and I need to know how to use a table saw. I’m giving you credit now whether I land the job or not. Your videos helped me tremendously

⚠️ As a reminder, I STRONGLY encourage the use of a blade guard and/or riving knife. Just because I removed my blade guard for filming purposes (and my Dewalt saw is not equipped with a riving knife), does not mean you should operate your saw without them too.

I think if you wish to cut multiple boards to size with a high degree of accuracy, then the table saw is a must have piece of equipment, no other tool can achieve this.
