"This diesel sounds pretty dang good" *Starts it up* Literally the quietest diesel I have ever heard...

if those zipper pulls hit the paint one more time i was going to have a nervous break down

Ive had my 2018 f150 2.7 for a year and 23k now. This truck is insanely fast. With 93 octane and a $40 dry performance air filter, you can hit those 5.5s 0-60 times. I've also removed the blow-off silencer so you can hear the boost dump on shifts, it really helps the lack of sound.

If you have a choice, get the damn ecoboost. Reliability difference is realistically 20 or 30k miles apart. Any f150 engine will take you to 250k with regular oil changes. Are 20k miles really worth being the slowest f150 and an underperformer above sea level?

The truth is the single cab-short bed 2.7 with the 3.73 rear is the fastest truck from the factory on the street.

I would love to see the 3.5 vs 2.7 vs 5.0 rematch all stock at sea level! Would be very interesting.

Can’t wait to see the 7.3 gasser debut. Don’t care in the slightest about drag racing, but am going to enjoy all the Ike footage that will come from TFL.

While I am an OLD V-8 guy, grew up with Muscle cars in the 60's and 70's, love my 2018 2.7 Turbo F-150. Running light highway, 22-25 MPG, around town, 18-20 MPG. When I pull my Crossroads Travel Trailer, 8154 lbs, 12-14 MPG UNLESS, I pull a big grade like Cajon Pass. Drops to 9 MPG at 55 MPH up the hill.

Just shy of 7k miles on my new 2018 F150 STX with the 2.7 EcoBoost and I'm Very happy with it. Pulls well and gets good MPG when I need it. I will say with any EcoBoost you either get Eco or Boost, never both at the same time!

The 2.7l is absolutely no joke those things are fast

I'm thinking the computers are torque limiting the engine in 2wd vs 4wd which makes sense seeing the power load is being shared between two drive axles, less chance of parts breakage.

Oh Lord I’ve had my 2.7 two year 30, 000 miles and I love the engine as good as day one! Nope it don’t sound good, but it will squirt to 60mph. Gets better mpg’s than my old Tacoma. This lil motor is quiet refined and quick. Not saying it’s better than the Coyote, but it’s s better engine than the haters will admit, much better.

I own a 2016 Ford F150 FX4 with 5.0 Engine, **Rear Gear Ratio is Big** I have a 3.73 Gear and it runs great.... Optional Lower Gear is a Must in My Opinion.

Last time I cared about my trucks exhaust sound, I was 17 years old and thought it was really cool. Now, I’m 40 years old and the last thing I want to hear is as an obnoxious exhaust note. So I get these reviewers need to complain about SOMETHING but enough with the bitchin about how the truck sound makes you lose wood. The majority of the F150 buyers are loving the quiet engine note.

What you don’t see here is after about 10k miles that 2.7l breaks in and it spoils quicker and gets even faster. My 5.0l same spec same gear ratio 3.55 same options just can’t keep up

Those 6.7L diesels are no joke. My gfs aunt has one, and we took a full family ride in it to the beach, and she did a pull that felt like my old pontiac g8. Couldn't believe it.

Regardless of what happened in this video, if I had the money, I would definitely take that f250 it looks so clean.
