Not sure why I said 'Steve & Cassie GANES' that first time...corrected myself and said 'Gaines' a few seconds later.

Knock out in the first three seconds! Skynyrd by a thunderous right hook!

My vote goes to Skynyrd. I just love how much melody there is in their songs as well as all the rocking guitars. Their music had real depth.

Thanks Pete. There won't be to many live albums to stand up to Skynyrd.

Saw Skynyrd in '76, saw the Outlaws about 40 years later. Seem to remember Skynyrd more.

Gotta go with LS One More From The Road, it was a smokin 3 guitar attack which blew my mind. I bought it in college when it came out in 1976 and was a double album that I played over and over, was devastated when their plane crashed in 1977. Still remember when I heard the news....

Thank you for all this southern rock that you've been putting out lately. I would love for you to do anything whatsoever on 38 Special. I know they had Live at Sturgis but I don't know if it was an album. I think it was just a DVD. But at some point could you please do 38 Special. There's so many of us over on Facebook in the 38 Special fan page and they are still going strong in concert touring all the time every year. Amazing. Okay I'm off topic but I wanted to throw that in there because it's southern rock. And I always have to go with Skynyrd always.

Lynyrd Skynyrd all the way! It's a flawless live album, as far as "Southern Rock" is concerned. The Outlaws are great too but Skynyrd was on another level. Better songs and musicians.

Love both and really used to play that Outlaws album a lot in the late 70's.Lynyrd Skynyrd just has too many good and memorable songs, although The Outlaws did have a few good ones themselves. In fact, I would choose Green Grass and High Tides over Freebird, but the overall Skynyrd album beats the Outlaws.

Great matchup Pete; saw both bands in the 70's and 80s; both opened shows for Black Sabbath- Ozzy led Sabbath in 76 with Sknynrd and Frampton and Dio led Sabbath with the Outlaws on the Mob Rules tour-both great albums slight edge to " One more for the road.🤙

thanks Pete! two great southern rock albums, owned both on vinyl as a teen. Gotta love that 3 guitar attack. I always go more for Skynyrd, you just cant beat it! But you cant forget the wailing Florida Guitar Army doing Green Grass and High Tides. Billy Jones, Hughie and Freddie Salem! Another one, released a few years later was Molly Hatchet, Double Trouble Live, around 85. its good. But, Southern Rock was on the downside then.

LS by a mile. I like the Outlaws and it's a gr8 live album... but LS is smoking and the deluxe cd edition sounds wonderful.

Love me some Outlaws but I have to go with the gym teacher in the third round. *Green Grass and High Tides* barely makes it past *Tuesday's Gone.* Leaving what's left of *Green to go up against the *... Bird.*

The Outlaws first album is sweeter than honey, but the LS live album, is hard to beat...Ronnie kept a tight ship & all hands to the grind stone!
