I hate when people say “All you have to do is believe in Him as your lord and savior, and you’ll be saved.” It’s HALF TRUTH… it is dyer to mention daily repentance, deliverance, and faithfulness to the most high continuously!!!
Hell is full of people that believed that, thought of themselves as good ppl and died in their sins…

I'm Christian and I'd like to be. But this just feels so black and white. If you a decent person but believe in God, you go to a beautiful blissful peaceful place. It's just seeming unfair because some people are just skeptic and have to see it to believe it. Eternity in a huge lake of fire because someone couldn't bring themselves to believe God is real but they really tried and wished they did, but they just couldn't. You either go to a perfect place or go to the worst place to ever exist while trying. There's no in-between...

Interesting facts about hell and eschatology.

1)"Hell"is not an Aramaic, Koine Greek or Hebrew word. The words translated as "hell" are Sheol (Old Testament) and Gehenna, Hades and Tararus in the New Testament.
2) Scholars are almost unanimous in claiming that Sheol does not fit our modern conception of hell. For example, there are over 100 English translations of the Bible into English and only the KJV and NKJV translated Sheol as "hell" (the KJV 31 times and the NKJV 19 times).
3) Gehenna, which Jesus spoke of 11 times, is never used in combination with "torment" or "eternal/forever".
Gehenna is the Valley of Hinnom. It is a cursed valley where God allowed His chosen to be conquered for child sacrifice to Baal/Mokech. Isaiah records this defeat where the worm eats until no corpses are left...and the fire is unquenchable, by burning until there is nothing left to burn. Certainly, this is a picture of eschatological judgement, just not damnation.

No where in Judaism is there a concept where God destroys...then raises those He destroyed from the dead...only to damn them or annihilate them and destroy them again.. This concept is no where in the Old Testament. Considering this is the case, I assume that when Jesus used the word Gehenna he was using it in keeping with Isaiah, not Persian or Greek (pagan) influence. That would mean the concept of "hell" did not come from any Old Testament prophet, king, speaker, or even Jesus Himself. If there are no scriptures in the OT that promote eternal conscious torment, or a second annihilation, then using the OT as a reference for ECT or annihilation is an illogical fallacy.
4) Aion means an age, not eternal. The punishment is Kolasis (corrective) not timoria (vindictive).
There are ways to imply aion means perpetual time, but every concordance or lexicon agrees that aion means an age. For example, Jesus said, kingdom, power and glory now and unto the ages. Here we see aion is correctly defined as an age, even though pertetial time is implied. That said, nothing about kolasis pushes aion into perpetual time. Therefore...aion means an age.
5) Last, check your translation closely. Forever and ever or forever more are illogical. We cannot add "and ever" or "more" to a word that means endless duration. What we can add to ..are ages.
6) Paul never once mentions Gehenna in any letter we have found. In Acts Paul is put on trial multiple times and he never once mentions eternal torment. What Paul was preaching was a resurrection of the dead.

This breaks my heart. I can't imagine living in this kind of fear and pain and self-loathing.

How can a being of love send you to hell? Love is wanting the best for someone, wanting to see them flourish and grow. Why would someone who loves you more than is even humanly imaginable want this to happen to you for sin? A person can live a good, righteous life and yet he/she will still sin. Do they deserve this? A man who has done so very little wrong deserves to burn and be eaten by worms and to die a million deaths indefinitely? What if humans did that? What if a parent looked at a child, just a little child, who had taken a cookie or told a lie or done one of the menial rebellious things that children do, and that parent beat that child and tortured that child in the most heinous ways you can imagine every day for the rest of their lives over that small mistake? The thought must repulse you.

That is what you believe your god to do. Do not say that God is love and say that this is true. If this is how you believe love to be, I want to have no part in it.
