Several reports have all but confirmed that Samsung will launch its first Mini LED TV among its 2021 QLED TV lineup. The first is an online presentation given by Mr Bob O'Brien, Co-Founder & President of DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants), at the OLED World Summit 2020 earlier this week.

Thank you very much for your analysis on MiniLED Vincent! This seems like a more attainable step before we get to MicroLED. Keep up the great work Vincent

I was shocked that you cut out the joke I'm sure happened right after you mentioned your prodigious output. :P

Ooh 8K. Remind me again, what broadcasters even support 4K predominantly. Get 4K established, perfected and cheaper, then try and sell me 8K. Great video👍

Samsung not officially supporting Dolby Vision is pushing my buying decision towards LG.

ONE big problem with Mini LED is input lag. Too many zones lead to higher input lag. Just look at your recent Asus Mini LED monitor and TCL's 8 series when you enable local dimming.

I’ll be waiting for the mini-led vs plasma video then... 🤣

It will be interesting to see how close to perfect black levels micro led will come in comparisons to oled.

I really want to buy another Samsung tv but if they do not add more 2.1 ports and Dolby Vision I’ll unfortunately be switching to a Sony. I got my Xbox Series X preorder and I want a tv that I’ll be able to view my games the best. Hope Samsung gets their act together.

I was thinking about getting a Q95T on sale this year, but I guess I should wait for next year's Mini LED.

Been holding out on upgrading my 2015 JS8500...just don't see the point right now as that TV is a 4K, 10bit panel with quantum dot color and HDR10. Good enough for me.

But, knowing the flagship 2021 Samsung TV will likely be an 8K mini led QLED...now that is enticing. May finally be time to upgrade.

Certainly, any new tech will first be introduced in flagship models before it trickles down to the mid-tier.

It's about time. They should have done this for 2020 already. I'm still happy with my 65 inch C8 OLED for now though. It was light-years ahead of any LCD technology anyway.

There are so many potential leading technologies coming out in the next year or two - I have no idea what to upgrade too! I have a 2019 Samsung Q80R but now with Xbox Series X coming out - I want to upgrade to a 2.1hdmi, Dolby Vision, earc, 120hz panel. I expect potentially I will be going 2021 LG Oled, although I generally only play Destiny 2 on Xbox. No idea what to go for.
