With CES now in the rearview mirror, I've had some time to ponder which 2024 TVs I'm most excited for -- the TVs that will be the center of conversation for the whole year. In this video, I talk about which TVs in 2024 are worth being excited about -- which might make our Best TVs of 2024 list. But, perhaps more importantly, we talk about WHY they are actually exciting -- and the reasons may surprise you.

Caleb, you were my go to guy for all the CES coverage this year. Thanks for all the information and great work. Look forward to your upcoming tv reviews for 2024

My curiosity really wants to see that new Mini LED Sony side by side with a top new OLED. Need a hype-free direct comparison.

I upgraded my 2017 65" LG E7 with a 2023 65" LG C3. I picked it up for just over $1, 500, roughly $1, 000 less than it went for 10+ months ago.
Definitely an upgrade, better picture for sure, but the biggest thing is how much faster it is with Streaming, how quickly things 'pop up' and the WebOS is laid out SO much better. The picture is fantastic (once I got it the way "I wanted" it). Connected it to my Bluesound Pulse+ soundbar and Yamaha sub, easy plug and play.
OK, so waiting for the 2028's to come out. 🙂

I was already leaning towards Samsung because I like the one connect box. The anti-glare has me anticipating the S95D even more. There is nowhere in my apartment to put a screen that can avoid sunlight. If the anti-glare really works that well, that will more than make up for any downsides for me at least.

I think I did well getting the S95C. Use it in a windowless home theater, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything from the S95D. That gives me a year to relax before the S95E gives me FOMO! 😂

MicroLED at 75" ???

yo, rich people really should buy the sh!t out of it, so that MicroLED starts getting mass produced like LCD or OLED and prices come down so then I CAN BUY ONE 😢

please people buy it. Help a fellow poor human out.

I think the TCL QM8 with 5, 000 nits and 5, 000 dimming zones is a superior TV over the Hisense U8N with 3, 000 nits. However, the Hisense 110UX with 10, 000 nits of peak brightness and 40, 000 local dimming zones will be superior TV to the 115" TCL QM89 based on specs. Like Caleb said, it's how the TV's processor handles all that is the true test.

Hi Sense was my favorite at CES. The brightness from their flagship TV's you saw them far way. SVS booth was the ones with the Raider Cheerleaders? With Sony I was more impressed with their EV car. CES was very AI and power station heavy this year, but overall besides the cold weather CES was a good show this year.

Thanks for information, but Is there any information about the *_SAMSUNG QN95D_* yet? I really hope for that

Caleb, can you please do a "Deep Dive" on the new MPEG-H technology that is quickly emerging now in the marketplace? This is going to allow the end-user to have direct control over the levels of individual aspects of an audio presentation from a TV show, movie or live sporting event. You'll be able to dial up the dialog/voice-over while turning down (or even off) the music or crowd noise in the case of a sporting event. This will be an absolute game changer in the world of home audio for movies and TV - and it's something that consumers have been BEGGING for!

I'm still feeling Sony, even if it's the 2023 flagship, but can't ignore Hisense/TCL. I love Samsung TV's, but no DV, so it's excluded...

After spending some time with the latest QD-OLED panel on the AW3225QF, I cant imagine opting for WOLED with MLA tech on the G4. If they would ever come back in stock, I think the 77" A95L is going to be the way to go in 2024.

Glad to see more advancements in Matte coatings. OLED's already struggle so much in bright rooms, Matte really helps out. Always have to close the curtains with my LG C1.

Currently I'm an 85" Sony owner, someday when it's time for a change I think I'll give the 98" TCL a try. They're stepping up their game.

I'm more interested to see what Panasonic is unveiling. It's shameful and sad that they don't market their televisions in North America anymore. Because as far as I'm concerned, they just cannot be topped.

Caleb, I too cannot wait to see the new u8n and qm8 battle it out. These 2 tvs will be the most popular as they blend performance and value at a realistic price point.

All these mega screens 98" plus are cool and all, but people don't realize these are going to cost anywhere from 7 to 10k, which is way more than the masses are willing to pay...

Plus, not one person anywhere has mentioned DSE on these huge screens... unless there has been some major upgrade in screen uniformity that has been done by these companies.. time will tell

SKIP to 12:25 because all those average and below average TVs aren't worth buying.

This year seems to be the rise and prominence of mini LCD TVs. It would be good to have a test of mini LCDs to see which one is the best mini LEDTV for this year. I’m excited to see what Sony brings in their mini LCD set, comparing it to the Chinese brands and Samsung QLED TV. Will the Chinese brands this year, challenge Sony and Samsung for the best LCDTV for this year?

I'm interesting in seeing the S90D going down to 42" and 48" and apparently not using QD-OLED panels and competing with the existing A90K (or equivalent) and C4 in those sizes. Hopefully that means the prices in that size can be even more competitive.
