Stone marvels are all over the world and are now being uncovered deep into the jungles. There have been strange markings into stone that are hard for us to understand what they were used for during antiquity. Some sites still have the main function except for this ancient place called Yuraq Rumi or Ñusta Hispana near the ancient temple called Rosas Pata or Vitcos. The quotes mentioned in the video are from the book "The Travels of Pedro Cieza de León A.D. 1532-50" & "The Second Part of The Chronicle of Peru". You can find this pdf book in the link below.

Who do you think actually built these engineering marvels in the jungle?

The Incan Empire only existed between from around the early 1400's, to the mid to late 1500's. The Incans were originally a pastoral people, and modern scholars think that many of their "accomplishments" were inherited from previous civilisations, such as the Tiwanaku (300 - 1100 AD), and the Wari a.k.a. Huari (600 - 1100 AD). The Incan Empire is considered the last of thousand of years of Andean civilisations, that came before them. Since there is a gap of around 300 years between the end of the Tiwanaku/Wari civilisations, and the start of the Incan, and no system of writing existed to carry on knowledge, it is no wonder, myths and legends arose about the origins of some structures.

The humility to say others build something they could have easily claimed credit for is magnificent and shows honour!

What blows my mind isn't only what ancient civilizations have built and left behind it's the perfect cuts, corners, squares & rectangular shapes, and the mind-blowing detailed work they create, but how is it possible without the right tools?

'left without a trace' as we're literally looking at their traces...

In San Antonio, Tx....there is an ancient aquafer & aqueduct system that was still in use when ths Spanish started to build their missions there hundreds of years ago...
I believe some may still be in working order.

I'm always fascinated why some civilisations choose squares, whilst others pick circles to build with.

It's fun to realize archeology is actually in it's infancy and there really is so much to learn.

The Inca referred to them as "Chachapoya" which in English translates as "Warriors of the Clouds"

Keeping in mind, they were referring to the god, Virecocha & he's paler than usualy because he is being depicted as if he were a noble that rarely needs to go outside & never does any work outdoors.

It is scary to think that developed civilizations existed before us, but we don’t know what happened to them.

It's amazing how the water hasn't eroded away more of the stone. That is some very dense stone.
