It seems like you are on auto white balance. I would suggest you set a custom white balance. The problem is the changing colors in the background keep making your camera adjust its white balance and exposure. This is why sometimes your face is so blown out, or why sometimes you look a little green or magenta etc.... But there is times when you can see what the white balance should be, and you look well exposed and your face has good color. You just have to set it manually so your camera wont change it.
