This subject is absolutely infuriating to me! I have been fighting hypertension since my mid 20's, I am now 57 years old. I controlled the HTN by daily, high intensity cardio and weight training for nearly 30 years. I moved to a remote village in Alaska 7 years ago so I have no access to a gym. I have a commercial treadmill which I use daily but it is not enough to control my HTN. I was put on HTN meds a few years ago due to my blood pressure hitting 188/157 and causing an acute kidney injury. I have been struggling ever since to keep my blood pressure under 150/95ish. I was scheduled to travel to a remote village for three weeks for work which means no stores, no food except for what I take with me. I decided to go straight to a keto diet since I used this before and it worked very well for me to lose weight, as my weight has been higher than I want for a couple years now. I took only cheeses, deli meats, eggs, and high protein shakes with very low carbs. I have been eating less than 20 carbs/day for over a week now. I have lost 16 pounds since arriving and my blood pressure has consistently been UNDER 120/80 for the last 4 days! Why in the hell has no doctor said "have some discipline and eat right"? Because big pharma owns them and does not want us healthy. By simply eating a low carb diet we can reduce obesity, HTN, and diabetes without medication! I have two more weeks here before I have access to normal food but I am stoked to see how this little experiment turns out.

Impressive. A great deal of thought went into this video so that it is clear, concise and on-topic from start to finish. Concepts are well organized, with each topic logically linked to the next. On YouTube, too many of other’s people’s health-related videos are rambling, disjointed, full of irrelevant chatter, and ten times longer than necessary. *My compliments to Dr. Nolte.* >>> SUBSCRIBED.

I have 2 heaping tablespoons of flaxseed mill with coconut cream every day. I started in order to see if it would lower my BP. Over 2 months the flaxseed has lowered my BP about 7 points. That’s based on me checking my BP everyday, writing it down, then calculating my average BP before and after flaxseed.

I think leaving out heart/lung fitness is a big mistake. Aerobic exercise where the heart rate is elevated for a time is very important IMHO. Strength training is ok, but Heart/Lung is more important. You should be able to jog 2 to 3 miles no problem. Do not enter competitions. The defense rests heh

Is this correct?, the cell membrane gets stiff and doesn't allow as much insulin to get in or be flexible?
