Miscellaneous is a great variable spending bucket to dip into for other defined line items or categories. Agreed. I put $100 a month into misc to use for other predefined areas.

Great video. You're so much more relaxed and look so happy. Self employed looks great on you! Hope you and Sebastian have a LOVELY holiday weekend.

Each month I pay for (almost) everything on a cash back rewards credit card. I pay the statement in full when it arrives which lets me leave the money to earn interest in my HYSA until it has to come out to pay the balance. This has worked well for me over the past 5 years or so and using 1 card helps me to stay organized when shopping. I recently watched a video on retirement planning in which the presenter stated he has a small index fund investment account set up to invest his cash back rewards. I thought this was a great idea for "free money" growing :-)

I wish I knew how to budget and how to be more frugal in my 20’s. Took years to get out of all the credit debt I racked up 😅

Agree on misc category. I was just throwing any little thing in there lol. This year the only misc transaction I had was postage stamps, but I put it under gifts bc it was to mail my goddaughter a birthday card.

I never thought about the roller over idea. I just start the chq account each month topped up to 2k and it ends up just under 1k at the end of the month.

Hey Leila, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made.

I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel
