For sure! It's trying to fill a void and it's fun to anticipate receiving an item.

Good idea! I’ve bought myself lots of aspirational stationery but what I end up using the most are just blank sheets of paper 😁

Yes yes yes! Currently gearing up for an out of state move and I am clearing out SOOO much stuff! I swear I'm not a hoarder, but I feel like it! My husband is also of the mind of 'if it ain't broke, keep it for later'. Moving forward, I want to be more intentional about what I keep around and what I don't.

The company I work for has a wonderful fitness center that is free for employees to use. From March to December, there are always the people working out, a few guys and I in our torn and worn shirts and shoes. Then right after the new year there is always an influx of people wearing brand new fancy exercise gear, the Lululemons, the Hokas, etc. By the beginning of March the new people are all gone and you get the same persistent guys again. I've seen that year after year for 10+ years.

Specially camping... you need to have so many little things and drive them around and then fiddle with them to set up stuff to do basics: sleep or eat or get warm...or even sit down

as a long time runner, you need proper shoes.
just because you realized, after the fact. proper
foot wear was a must. the shoes will shod your
feet, the sox will be used, the clothes as well. no loss.

I think we fall into the trap that spending = living. Lack of spending feels like we are wasting time doing nothing. It’s important to remember than an experience doesn’t have to be expensive to be worthwhile. Some of the best moments of my life have been spending time with family. I rarely remember expensive meals, but I remember vividly visiting my cousins a few years ago.

I wanted to say i would be so very interested in your perspective on how to contribute and integrate into a family business and find your own role and identity within it, it would be so very interesting if you all could talk more about how to work with each other and respect and make place for one another in an open way cause Im in the process and it is quite the challenging process you guys since to have it on track specially at this point

I'm favoured, $30k every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America.

No Rachel, you don't hate running. You hated the failed attempt at 1.5miles (!) bc it was way to soon, which is understandable. Try light jogging one HALF of a lap around a local school running track. That's roughly 1/8th of a mile. If you try running just a little bit every day, your stamina - and enjoyment - will increase exponentially if for no other reason, than a sense of accomplishment.

I guess I'm a bit surprised. I mean, you would not tell a first time budgeter to set their budget so strict they could not succeed and gave up. In many aspects of life, "too much, too fast" is a recipe for discouragement, then quitting for 99% of people.
