I really like the actress, that Marvel Studios selected to play the young Jean Grey, she really is very talented!

Fun fact: The Phoenix Force didn't take on the cosmic bird form until it came into contact with an ancient sorcerer named Feron, who had prophetic visions of the Phoenix. Visions that drew it to Earth and made Feron the first human host to its power. And it wasn't until Feron's master, Necrom, stole a fragment of the Phoenix, buried it in a corpse for countless millennia and murdered his pupil did it leave Earth. That is until it met and bonded to an ancient mutant named Firehair who as a baby was abandoned in the spot where the Phoenix first emerged.

My guess is that in this universe there aren't any sorcerers. And the Phoenix took its bird shape because it was inspired by Jean's astral form when she took out Apocalypse. Meaning that by the end of the film, Jean Grey and the Phoenix were indefinitely one being.
