What NASA Chief Revealed about SpaceX's Importance Shocked FAA...
While SpaceX has increasingly become a target for fake news, guess who directly supported it in the media?
Yeah! It's Nasa administrator, Bill Nelson!
And the way he recently outsmarted an Axios propagandist to defend SpaceX deserves more applause than ever.
Honestly, Bill's behavior does not surprise me because, over the past 20 years, SpaceX's contributions to Nasa and American spaceflight are countless.
So, of course, they deserve to be fully recognized, respected, and supported by the government instead of being harassed as they are now by bureaucracy and BS red tape.
What NASA Leader Just Revealed about SpaceX importance Shocked FAA...
Find out everything in today's Techmap episode.
But before we begin, let's subscribe to the channel to stay up-to-date with the latest space news.
If you have followed the US rocketry for a while, certainly you are not strange to the extremely negative attitude of Bill Nelson against SpaceX and Elon Musk when he was still a senator.
His saying: "get your boy Elon in line." will be something that former NASA second-in-command Lori Garver can never forget.
However, Nelson's stance has evolved since becoming NASA Administrator in 2021. At that time, SpaceX marked its name with a series of notable achievements: it launched its first cargo delivery to the ISS in 2012, and in 2014 it was co-awarded the NASA commercial crew contract. And just 6 years later, or on May 30, 2020, SpaceX left Nasa, Boeing, and any senator in awe since its Crew Dragon spacecraft became the first private American spacecraft to launch astronauts from American soil. Meanwhile, Boeing Starliner was still taking a nap.
What NASA Chief Revealed about SpaceX's Importance Shocked FAA...
Since then, the relationship between NASA and SpaceX has grown closer thanks to a series of large commercial contracts between them. Bill Nelson's trust in SpaceX is clearly manifested in a recent conversation with an Axios propagandist who tried to label Elon Musk a spreader of “misinformation,” repeatedly trying to get Nelson to disparage Musk as a “distraction” to NASA’s mission.
To respond, Bill praised Gwynne Shotwell's great leadership in helping SpaceX make great strides in the aerospace industry. After that, he also highlighted that:
"Well! they distract you. They don't distract NASA."
Elon Musk expressed his gratitude in the comment: “Bill Nelson is awesome.”

Elon misinforms no one. This Axios check should be fired for unprofessionalism.

The FAA should be doing what it was designed to do, and that is regulate aircraft. Space travel and rocketry should be regulated by NASA if anyone. Maybe Spaceforce? Non biased as well.

The USA is #1 in Spaceflight worldwide only because of SpaceX. Take SpaceX launches away and how many launches did the rest do?

Boeing has always cost overruns on the Government Contracts! Corruption in Government Contracts is common for the Industrial 🏭 Sector.

I sincerely hope that NASA Administrator Bill Nelson is not just grandstanding or playing to the media in saying that US needs Spacex to succeed in space.

The funny part is the FAA wanting to have SpaceX drop it's quality to the same level as Boing's been suffering from. It was those Boing 'safety standards' that left two astronauts stuck in space... but that's the 'safety standards' the FAA wants?

Since the FAA has a major problem with the return of boosters, just land them on your barges. If they still have a problem with the launches find a place that the FAA has no control over.

The FAA needs to be dissolved and all personnel sacked and have them replaced with intelligent lifeforms.

If NASA or the DOD takes over responsibility for a Space X launch the FAA is removed from all launch or reentry responsibilities, except to notify civilian aircraft and boats to keep out of the designated area.

looking at the axios lady, her body language shows she knows what she is saying and attempting to do is wrong and out of line and is making a fool of herself doing it anyway
