As a non-truck driver, we were moving a number of years ago. Driving a 20 foot Ryder truck and pulling our car on a trailer.
When we came to construction areas with concrete barriers on both sides of one lane, many times the car ahead of me with slow way down even below the posted limit. I could go through there at speed because I was focusing down the road and not looking to the side at the barriers. Also, out of the corner of my eye, kept the left front corner of the track a certain distance from the barrier. But was primarily focused a distance down the road.
