After you install a lift, it's important to do an alignment on your vehicle. Caster is an important setting that needs to be adjusted correctly, especially with taller suspensions.

I've been scratching my head wondering how to check the caster on my landcruiser in my slightly slopped dirt drive way. I never thought about leveling the vehicle on stands! This is exactly the type of solution I was hoping to find. Thanks a bunch!

I used a pair of your lower control arms only the lowers for 2.5” lift on my WJ and the magic number on the lower from eye 2 eye lower control arm of 16” using a transfer punch to be precise, 3/8 to 1/2" is the magic number just enough to add a few degrees behind vertical per your diff cover example! ❤ the stock measurement stock lower control arms were 16 inches IDI and I went out only 3/8 so 16 and three eights or just below a half inch in the bubble goes positive thanks

Thanks for the video! I have been trying to set my caster on a lifted jeep but with the jeep on the ground. Sounds stupid but I never thought about the jeep not being level🙄

So I'll have to figure out what I have and then how to adjust it. 94XJ and 2004WJ. Crawling under the Jeep I see the control arms, but did not find how they adjust. I'll keep it level, thank's.

Do I need to lengthen or shorten the upper control arms? Seems as though my jeep XJ hp D30 is rotated too far forward and I need to shorten my upper control arms. I’m just trying to figure out what positive and negative caster is and what the jeep needs

Hello guys. Hopefully, you guys can point me in the right direction, finding the correct caster for my Jeep WJ 4.0. I recently installed a new 4 inch bilstien lift with core adjustable control arms all around. I have been to numerous shops, and no one can ge this caster set correctly. Do you happen to know a number i should shoot for? From my research, i am seeing 7° should be a go-to. I believe i am going to attempt to do this myself. Would increasing the length of my lowers and decreasing my uppers get me where i need to be? All my local shops are putting my caster around the high 5s. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sir, my car i20 front struts shockers are aligned perfect 90 degree with respect to ground when steering wheel is at normal or 0 degree position. However, the left shocker slanted bit about 30 degree approx with respect to its original vertical position when the steering is full turned to left. The same is for the right shocker when fully turned right. Is this change in vertical alignment normal??? Thanks.

You can’t apply this to every car, it may work for your keep though

You won'tget the right adjustment doing that way. the weight of the front end has to be on the tires plus It sounds like you/er describing a camber setting not caster
