🩺ABOUT DR. BREWER
Dr. Brewer started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many preventable heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. While there, he went on to run the post-graduate training program (residency) in Preventive Medicine. From there, he made a career of practicing and managing preventive medicine and primary care clinics. His later role in this area was Chief Medical Officer for Premise, which has close to 1,000 primary care/prevention clinics. He was also the Chief Medical Officer for MDLIVE, the second largest telemedicine company. More recently, he founded PrevMed, a heart attack, and stroke prevention clinic.

At PrevMed, we focus on heart attack, stroke, and cognitive decline. We serve patients who have already experienced an event as well as those who have not developed a diagnosis or event. Dr. Brewer provides services via telemedicine. We find a lot of undiagnosed prediabetes or insulin resistance. Treating unrecognized risk factors like prediabetes allows reduction of risk and prevention of disease.

K2 and D3 worked for me. I am close to 72 years old, had a heart attack in 2005. My father, mother, grandfathers, and 3 younger brothers all died of heart attacks. I have eaten lots of Natto as well as K2, (MK7, ) in capsule form since 2015. My blood pressure dropped down to almost tolerable. My surgeon checked my vascular system and reported that it was absolutely clear of plaque. The benefits, to me, are most definitely not a myth. Just because no one, (according to you, DR. Brewer, ) has not proven, in our cockamamie-medical science system, that K2 coupled with D3 will clear a person's vascular system of plaque does not prove that it is a myth. Not proving something does not disprove it. You assuming that K2 works in a more complicated way is pure conjecture and ignoring the results. You using the word Myth in your title just means you are fishing for clicks by being contrary.

I am 74 and started having angina around Thanksgiving last year. Around February, I was put on a statin and started taking D3 and K2 with it. I can now report that I have not has any angina in two months and rode my 27 speed road bike for 13 miles without stopping on Monday. I am a believer in it. Note: I have also gone on a very clean diet, no salt, no sugar, low fat, no caffeine. one beer per week. I was doing much of that before though. My wife and I walk 2 miles most days too.

I started K2-7 100mg per day six months ago, increasingly had palpitations found a paper which said it was the K2. Is that likely?

Gouda cheese is one of the highest vitamin k2 foods you can eat. I started eating it often now and feed it to my kids.

Dr. Brewer says (here, or perhaps in another video on the subject?) that the K2 doesn't remove calcium from arteries. The calcium stays put but shrinks and continues to stabilize the plaque that's already there.

Hi Doc - Trial PMID 35465686 flamed out by showing no benefit from two years of 750 mcg of k2-mk7 plus D3 for those with advanced aortic valve calcification. Do you have any speculations as to what may help people with this type of calcification?

Our dietary guidelines should be based on Dr. Weston A. Price discoveries on how vital a traditional diet full of SATURATED fats is to human health. Vitamin k2 should really be taken with D3, they work in synergy together.

Seems like he is the only Dr here who express a lot of doubt about Vit K2..where a number of others here are very optimistic about it. So where are we.? "Science" that says YES..and "Science" that says NO. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🤨

Boswellia is said to reduce bone spurs in knees. EZorb (calcium aspartate anhydrous) is apparently good for arthritis and bone spurs.

Myth, really? I can tell you that I am over 60, not on any Rx and had previous issue with chest pains, was a former smoker and overweight before intermittent fasting but chest pains have vanished completely and I have been dosing at least 30000iu Vit D and 540mcg K2 Dy and my stress level has dropped exponentially as well as chest areas being far more relaxed. Granted th weight loss from 207 to 150 took care of Insulin resistance. I feel great although lately I seem to have Immune system triggers my and higher cholesterol, that's why I pay attention Dr Brewer. Poss COVID complications but I think my excess calcium is gone back to the bone or elsewhere. Theoretically, I think I have exposed the lifetime layers of Cholesterol and now am wanting the Low Dose Statin you outline to help it gradually decrease. Again higher LDL numbers were the result, intermittent arm and shoulder to chest junction CV pain. Regretfully I stopped Niacin but am at 500mg again. Adding low dose Statin therapy if my provider buys in. I am trying to back off the High Dose Vitamin D but the Inflammation goes up when I do for now. My guess is that when the LDL numbers drop more so will the Inflammation. I feel like 25 years younger from my progress but I can't wait to see what lies down the road, that's why I pay attention to Dr Brewer. We are almost on the same exact page here with Inflammation and that does explain my issues. If I get rid of that I will be a totally CV healthy person. And at my age and fitness level that leaves a lot of potential! Thanks Dr Brewer!

ALL DEAR FRIENDS I USED K2 AMD D3 AFTER HAVING 3STUNTS IN MY HWART. ACCORDING TO MY EXPERIENCE IT SHOWS VERY GOOD RESULTS. NO PALPATION AND SMOOTH HEART PUMPING IT HELPS.

Hope there will be a 1 year study on high dose K2 with CIMT as part of monitoring with inflammation markers. Maybe dose base 400mcg, 1mg and 15mg.
My theory is K2 helps inflammation by reducing soft plaque first through calcification osteoblast and after stabilizing soft plaque with hard plaque it will then remove calcium with osteoclast..

We have lots of fermented fish and fermented krill in the Philippines. Our Nutrition Research in the Philippines has no capability to test for K2. What gov agency in the US is testing K2 in foods?

Thanks Dr Ford for your really good dedication to people health. I am your viewer for probably from The beginning of your Utube presentations. And again K2 is not quite known vitamin even by many Drs. How's about sauerkraut if I eat it every single day constantly. Is it enough vit K2?
