I've taken the challenge and started with setting a budget in the beginning of this month, I've been tracking my spending and am really trying to stay as close to my budget as possible. I've looked at sales flyers every week to see who's has what on sale and definitely take time to look at the extra coupons on the stores app.I recently got a terrific deals at cvs just by using a 4.00 cvs cash and the coupons on their app. 2 tubes of toothpaste, 2 boxes of cereal and 1box of granola bars for .33 . We have some local stores that are like outlet store that have some food items. Ocean state job lot, a store called “the outlet” finding those stores and stocking up on certain items there helps slash the budget. Especially for allergy related item.

Also commuting to making certain things from scratch helps too.

I also go to a restaurant supply place every couple months or so and but meats in bulk and break it down myself.

My husbands also works a paper and chemical distributed that is open to the public he gets the items at cost so we get toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies and other commercial grade supplies like aluminum foil and plastic wrap there. Hope this helps others figure some saving out.

This is an unrelated question but I saw an Ibotta deal to get $70 as a new Hello fresh customer. I am skeptical to do this because I feel if I cancel after the first box to avoid extra fees I might not get the Ibotta money and that is the main reason I am doing it. Do you have any experience with this?
