Bruh they don't even teach about bleeding (or was it bloody?) Kansas unless you're in Kansas. And here's another thing they don't teach you: Kansas was among the first states to be against slavery. Also they had the first Pizza Hut.

We barley learn about the holacaust in school we don't cover the horrors of what happened to the natives at all. I feel like we should learn more about our governments screw ups.

The Napoleonic Wars and the Seven Years War are important to American history for two reasons. A slave revolt in Haiti cut off France from their holdings in the Louisiana territory, and so Napoleon sold it off as a means to fund his army. The Seven Years War is important because the Colonies ended up getting stuck with Britain's wartime bill. The French and Indian War was merely the colonial theater of the Seven Years War and not its own unique conflict as generally believed. The 1848 Revolutions are only relative to the United States in so far as they caused a boost in immigration from areas afflicted by revolutionary turmoil. The 1848 Revolutions aren't taught in American schools because it's completely inconsequential to American history. The Revolutions affected the United States as the Cahokia floods affected Europe (the Cahokia was a native American tribe that operated a complex urban metropolis along the Mississippi River. The River flooded and devastated the area, prompting native peoples to return to a more rural/nomadic lifestyle. Huge event in terms of Native American history. A non-issue to Europeans)

The reason the Aztecs didn’t use the wheel much was because they did not have any cattle or oxen

Man if schools can even show 10% of how interesting wars and histories are rather than just filling the book with useless crap then history classes will be 1000x more intresting.i learned that after watching the ottoman empire documentary.

The Aztecs not using the wheel had the reason that there simply was no need for it. In the mountainous area it is rather impractical.

I wish that people making memes like the last one understood that every school district's curriculum is different.

The US has names for everything. M1 refers to the model. It means model 1 or mark 1. The m1 Abrams was the model 1 of the Abrams tank. The A after it is alteration. So m1a4 means model 1 alteration 4. The m1 garand was the military main battle rifle model 1. The m16 was the 16th model considered by the army since that scheme was started. This is applied to tons of stuff and is really good at making it easy to tell what something is in relation to another or what iteration of the same thing it belongs to.

The US government has broken so many treaties and promises with the American Indians and yet there are still people today that think "We should give the government even MORE money and power!"
