Looks a lot like the stove I made out of a 30# propane tank. I just installed my homemade waste oil dripper tonight, and burning less than half as much wood as I was. -4°F for the low here tonight.

Perfect little stove for like a small shop or a garage! You can weld a flat steel plate on top for a coffee pot too. My father in law used to make wood stoves out of the 55 gallon oil drums.

You should have welded a piece of flat iron on the cylinder to cook on or heat up water

I done the exact same thing a while back, but I used a 5 gallon metal bucket with a metal lid of coarse. Works very well!! Nice Job!👍 Let the hatters hate.👍

What a great skill to have aquire should have paid more attention in shop class....well it's never too late to start learning this one. So much to learn so little time.

Wrap the tank with copper tubing 3/8 I'd . Now you have a water heater in conjunction with the furnace. Place a small storage tank in line with the tubing and a pump to circulate the water around the heat tank. Prevent overheating of the firebox.

Every one has an opinion this is a great idea to keep warm. It's good if you have a small cottage or even a drafty garage..that really it's only good for, quick heat..not a bad idea..good work.

Add a flat plate so you could heat water for soup, coffee, tea, hot Coco, cook hot dogs 🌭 🥞🥓🍳 wrap a small potoes in foil place on hot coals a long pair of bbq tongs to get potatoes out when done

It's a great concept but I think it would be easier to get a barbecue grill and just have the pipe go up and out of the roof. There might be some minor welding here and there but it would be much easier
