I have been on regular gas over 1 year and my car has more than 380,000 miles. DO NOT DO THIS ON YOUR CAR. Please help to hit the 👍 button. Thank you

If you’re Ricky Racer, premium fuel in a high performance engine will benefit you.
If you’re average Joe driving a mid-2000s Toyota v6 or something that you’ve been told “requires” premium fuel, running 87 octane won’t hurt anything. If you get a “knock” occasionally because you’re getting on it a lot an occasional fill up with 91 octane should resolve.
DON’T use E85 gas unless your car is designated “flex-fuel.” THAT would harm your engine and fuel system.

The only problem is cheap gas produce water inside the tank ( so you will get track off in your car panel after a long time used you will have in error of p1047 don’t used cheap will be bad for your car in a long run . Is cheap for a reason is not clean fuel make sense expensive gas always a winner don’t get wish gas thinking is good because is cheap

There’s a lot of misinformation on this post. Most cars will run fine on regular gas but more importantly, follow the owner’s manual! If the manual says premium only, you should run premium only. While almost all cars that specify premium will have a specific tune while running on regular (for the rare occasion that maybe you had no other choice but to use regular) it’s not good for the car long-term as it was not designed to run on regular. Short-term is ok and as long as you don’t run the car hard. However, there are some new performance/luxury cars that can run on regular no problem, just slightly less power that most people won’t notice. Some that come to mind is the Audi Q3, Acura RDX, MDX, Mercedes GLA, BMW 1 Series, X1, X2.

32 mpg in a TSX wow. I would get like 25mpg driving normally in mine jajaja it was a 5 speed.
