I have a Lexus, my friend drives an Audi. Both of them require premium gas. He used regular 87 and his engine generated so much carbon deposits that it blew a valve. I'm staying premium.

I drive a 2008 Acura MDX, which requires premium fuel (supposedly, but the engine is the same as the Honda Pilot which doesn’t require premium). For the past 10 years it’s gotten almost exclusively 87 octane fuel. Runs just fine.

Yeah, I had to put regular in my Mercedes about 3 years ago during Covid. They didn’t have plus or premium so I’m really glad I had an octane booster in my trunk. I always carry one just in case. I didn’t have any problems.

I accidentally put regular (87) in my premium (93). I was told to buy an octane booster but not sure if it will help or not 🤦🏿🤦🏿.

Current situation right now, post Hurricane Milton. Stations seem to only have regular not premium gas. Advanced Auto or whoever here I come

My guess is that most people who lease a car from BMW or Mercedes use regular gas. I bet 100% of the people who get a loaner use regular gas. Must be a lot of damaged engines out there.... BTW I lease BMW use regular exclusively...

So im use to having a WV passt n i always use premium gas just purchase another one and they were using regular unleaded with that cause a problem if I start using premium
