In my 53 years of listening to music, I’ve never loved a band as much as I do with Babymetal. I have no idea why but they touch my heart in so many of their songs and this performance of one of my favourite songs is definitely one of them. Maybe it’s because they started so young and fought against so much criticism that I feel like a proud Dad every time I watch them succeed. They are truly amazing.

Great reaction, thanks!
This is an extremely beautiful version of an already beautiful song. Yes, I love seeing this close how Su works her technique here. It's something you can't get to see in a live performance because a number of things are happening at the same time.

Monochrome piano version is precious, another song you should check out is No rain no rainbow☔

I love this song. Both versions are amazing. Another recommendation I have for you would be Akatsuki Budokan Black Night. I believe it was 2014, but I may be wrong. A young Sumetal absolutely killed it!

Excellent, such a beautiful version of an already beautiful song ... Su and Moa (with Moa supported with lovely harmonies by the three backing vocalists in the "oh oh oh") are incredible.

Su-metal did an acoustic (unfinished) version of her solo song 'Akatsuki' at the Legend 1997 concert for her 16th birthday in Dec 2013. Watch the full version from Budokan Black Night from 2014 first, then the unfinished version ... they will each hit you in different ways.

what makes this so good is the fact of it being for the channel The First Take. they bring in singers to do a song in one take only so this is in one take to do this performance. Su is so good. and if you read a lot of their lyrics they are so positive and uplifting. Su to me is the only singer for me that i listen to and feel emotions. her voice can touch your soul. others have recommended some more songs so i won't add to that. Su is one of a kind performer and to me no one else even comes close.

Su really is the queen of metal. How her vocals have evolved and gotten stronger over the years has been something else. You mentioned that you've mainly been sticking to the live performances. I would recommend checking out the studio versions of some songs as well and taking a look at the music videos. They do show a different side of BabyMetal and are a lot of fun to watch. Notable MV's would be Megitsune, Metali, Karate and Iine.

Yes this version explicitly places Su on the Spotlight like now the whole Colabs do. She has now her adult voice and can do with itvwhat she wants. Blast past a whole metal Band or harmonize with everything that needs it. Together wit zhe Rest of their voices they have a potential that is unique in zhe whole industry. They have no own Band that could moan if they are not used if they play with other bands. And I think thatbis a reason why they obviously don't have any problems with gatekeepers at the Moment.

Nice reaction. Years ago, Moa said when Su sings it's like an angel came down. This performance they both sang like angels. They always had talent but more and more they show the skills that comes with age. They've traveled the world and learned a lot. Babymetal is a force all to itself. A hallmark of many Babymetal lyrics is the strong positive uplifting message and this song is no exception to that. When this song comes on, I do "Just Smile".

If Angel's came down to earth and started to sing, it would sound like this ❤😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

It's a scientific fact that BABYMETAL can warp time. Many concert goers have stated that an hour performance felt like 15 minutes.😁 🦊 🖖❤

One idiosyncrasy about Japanese popular music is that they really love clear vocals (regardless of pitch or age) when it comes to female singers. Su just happens to shine with it while fronting a metal act. Between the end of Karen Girl's & the launch of Sakura Gakuin, the young Suzuka did two stints in musical theater (the stage play "Adventurers" 冒険者たち; Youtube has the full upload) with an otherwise all-male cast. That's probably how her singing style evolved the way it did.

For emotional whammy, I'm recommending something offbeat: 'Nada sou sou' 涙そうそう, which has a crossover hit across Asia during Y2K decade, & one of the earliest when Youtube was still nascent. Balladeer Rimi Natsukawa's cover version (2001) went viral, spending about 6 years on the charts & inspiring an eponymous movie (2006, a standard idol tearjerker but the real-life personal photos in the end-credits segment will have you bawling). Co-songwriters Ryoko Moriyama (folk singer) & BEGIN (folk-rock band) had previously self-released it in 1998 & 2000 respectively. All 3 studio versions, each musically different, are fantastic. Search the following keywords:

日本Japanese touched movie-Nada Sousou part 12 - End (movie end credits with English subs)

Tears for You (涙そうそう) (2006) - Nada Sou Sou (涙そうそう) (official movie MV with English subs)

夏川りみ「涙そうそう」Music Video (Rimi Natsukawa MV)

2020 live version)

森山良子(Moriyama Ryoko) - 涙そうそう(nada sousou) (Ryoko Moriyama 2004 live version with personal photos)

No need to react to them. Just have fun appreciating its poignancy in private. Cheers.

Am I the only one wondering why the 3 girls in white holding hands remind me of Yui Moa and Su together! I do not know the meaning behind the song but it feels like they are reminiscing! I am nearly 60 and kind of fell out of love with music then a friend sent me a Babymetal video (Give Me Chocolate) there is something so warming about these girls, do not get me wrong the band that backs them is some of the best musicians I have ever heard but these girls are so special so let us all keep these girls safe

Each of Su's cells seems to be made of musical notes.

Great reaction. Try not to ignore alternate versions of songs, Babymetal have many standout alternate takes, plus over 12 years Su-metal's voice has evolved so much ❤🦊🤘
