PINK SKIES ● Virgin Australia A330-243 - Landing at Melbourne Airport (VH-XFC)

The beautiful pink skies following the sunset are the perfect way to end the day! You can never go wrong with spotting during the evening when it comes to getting unique photo's/videos in some of the best lighting possible, this being no exception. These pink skies have a very small timeframe before they start to fade so catching something interesting during that time can be a stroke of luck.

Virgin Australia's A330s are almost exclusively domestic operated, with a only a few seasonal flights to Fiji from Melbourne a week. The most common route to see these on at Melbourne are the Perth - Melbourne ones, followed by the occasional Sydney - Melbourne flights during peak periods.

For such a regular sight, it's pretty rare that I actually see them in action.
