Marathon: The Next Big AAA FPS Was Revealed...

Today we're taking another break from COD and instead we're talking about a different game I'm actually pretty hyped to see more about. Yesterday was the PlayStation showcase in which there were a few cool games shown off, probably the biggest being Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake II, Assassin's Creed Mirage, the new Final Fantasy, but one that really caught my attention, not only for the aesthetic and gameplay details we learned, but also because it consisted of probably one of the coolest ARGs we've seen in a LONG time in the gaming space, was the game Marathon. Today, we're running down what Marathon is, what you should know about Marathon, what Marathon gameplay details were revealed and where to look for more. There's DEFINITELY pve in this game. I saw one of the enemies from the original series. Forget their real name but we always called them Cloaks. The have a cloak draped around them and a glowing orb in the middle. They float around and shoot projectiles that seem to shock you if they hit you.

I've never seen this before, but I'm definitely interested in trying something that isn't COD, Also it looks like an upgrade of the game Brink with the esthetics. I hope it has parkour.

The art design is insanely good imo. Also, backed by Sony! This could be really really good! Not super stoked on it being an extraction shooter, hopefully they make some smaller arena type game modes.

when it come to "bonuses" based on platform Bungie has straight up stated they will not do exclusivity deals based on platforms like they did back in the old days with Destiny 1 and Activision because everyone hated it. Once the exclusivity deals had dropped with Activision/PlayStation they have never again done a single ounce of it, so id doubt they would start again with Marathon. with this said I doubt we will see any sort of "bonuses" for playing Marathon on PS5; with the exception of maybe cosmetics, since they are against that kind of favoritism nowadays. As a gamer it is really refreshing to be respected regardless of platform and if they hold up to it with Marathon that would be great.
