Stories like these molded into a movie only serve a purpose of propelling the idea portrayed in them, because there is no such thing as BAD Publicity.
Btw, this is probably how thin blue line moronism started to form in the first place. The cops at the beginning acted against such groups and ideas, made arrests, were very successful. Yet, they were not recognised and it started to bother them. A lot. So much so, that at a certain moment they crossed the rubikon and as a consequence of that, they started encompassing the methods of these, and esp. this group, and incorporating those into their jobs - which is policing. In our time that had metastasised into all these brutalities, violence and horror they are commiting.

In short, the movie will teach you nothing.
