I'm confused why this movie exists. One year ago a movie called Reality was made about this same reality, and they took it seriously and didn't make a joke of it, because this really happened and this young woman gave up her life to tell the truth to the American public. I guess I shouldn't be so upset, because now she has two movies made about her.

They literally looked at the title of the 2023 movie 'Reality' starring Sydney Sweeney and decided since that movie used her first name, they would use her last name. The originality is mind-blowing.

This happens all the time… a hot script starts to get talked about, there’s a bidding war around Hollywood, a studio gets the opportunity to turn it into a project… then another studio gets someone to pen a script about the same thing and see if they can beat the other film to market. Or there are dueling scripts out there and executive producers do everything possible to make sure their script is the one focused on. Sometimes the other project doesn’t get off the ground or it does but comes out a year later than the other one which had better backing. Or there’s talk about a topic in Hollywood and producers start to develop dueling projects around an idea or a story. Money gets dumped into one of them and then someone is hired to pen a script. The project has been steadily chugging along showing another studio evidence that this story or idea had legs from the start so now second studio rushes a comparable project to market as well to try and ride the wave of the first project .
