Optimizing RTX 3080 Air Cooling in SFF (feat. the MSI Ventus OC 3080 deshroud)

We don't need to get fancy with LN2, ice, or even warm water to see meaningful improvements with Nvidia's RTX 3080 in an SFF. What can you do with your AIB 3080 in an SFF case? Many of you saw the deshrouding mod coming with the MSI Ventus card because it's really just that amazing and easy. Who needs the FE card anyway when you can have thermals like this! I'll walk you through the process, results, and also show some baseline RTX 3080 thermal data for the Scythe Fuma 2 and Noctua NH-C14S air coolers in the Cooler Master NR200.

I deshrouded my Ventus and replaced the fans with 3
Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM chromax fans. At 100% fan speed (2500 rpm) my GPU runs at 28C over ambient (48C). At 1500 rpm fan speed it runs at 34C over ambient (54C). At 1200rpm it runs at 45C over ambient (65C). Very happy with this mod. I can hardly hear the fans now

There is some nice foam that comes as gpu packaging, i cut pieces to size and closed all the gaps between gpu and mesh on the bottom for better pressure. That worked even better that i expected.

hear me out. 3d print a duct around the deshrouded gpu and check the results for a mesh case

Thanks for the video but I don't like the fact that you like to show yourself in the video more than to show the stuff you are talking about. You barely showed the GPU deshrouded or the process itself despite being easy to do. People will still be able to hear your voice if you just talk and show the hardware. Just constructive criticism.
