Seing you doing this, I think the repair clips are not needed. Everyone a bit handy has some scap of wood. I don't know how much it costs to get theses clips but I kinda think any 2x3 or 2x4 could to the job holding the drywall patch correctly and firmly. So do not spend more like 3$ on theses repair clips. However I'd like a tutorial on how to patch the remaining holes to prep for the paint.

If you're handy enough to repair a hole in a likely you would have scrap pieces of wood laying around.... Stick the scrap piece of wood in the hole, lift it up and screw it to the you have a backing for the drywall.
