Xbox is ready to enter into the next generation of consoles? New rumors and talks from insiders are pointing to Xbox staggering the console generation by starting a couple of years before PlayStation 6

The Xbox console generation is entering into its fifth year and with most of their biggest games on the way and a couple massive titles waiting for next generation It looks like Xbox may start the new console generation as early as 2026.

The news comes from X (formerly Twitter) account TheGhostOfHope, who has a history of posting primarily Call of Duty leaks. According to Hope, he says that he’s heard the next Xbox console “is still coming in 2026 and will be called Xbox Prime.”

If a new Xbox launches in 2026, it's launch titles could be Halo CE Remake, Gears of War E-Day, COD, Perfect Dark, Forza Horizon 6, Indiana Jones DLC, Doom DLC and potentially even Blade. This would be the biggest launch in console history. It could be really good but we will see

Both Xbox and Sony said no new consoles until 2028. I’m not worried about new consoles anytime soon.

2026 is a perfect time to release the next Xbox. The Series X/S just quietly passed up the Sega Genesis with 36 million units sold. That’s impressive, but it should be a lot more. They need a fresh start and a brand new console releasing in like 13-16 months is perfect.
